This Saturday evening cannot arrive soon enough for Brighton’s discerning music lovers, as living legend David Gilmour arrives in the city for a one-off ‘preview show’ of his upcoming European tour at the Brighton Centre.
Gilmour is best known as the guitarist and co-vocalist from the seminal band, Pink Floyd, but has also released critically acclaimed solo albums and has collaborated with some of the most famous names in the music industry over a career that has spanned five decades.
Often imitated, but never quite matched, Gilmour’s style of playing is characterized by his soaring guitar solos for which he proudly holds three entries in Guitar World magazine’s list of Top 100 Guitar Solos of all time (Time, Money and Comfortably Numb).
Predictably, this gig sold out in double quick time, as Brighton’s music connoisseurs clamoured for tickets to see one of their heroes.
However, if you are fortunate enough to have tickets for Saturday’s show then why not head out a little earlier and really make it a night to remember by joining us at Donatello for a delicious pre-show meal?
