Brighton & Hove Albion Logo

As long-standing sponsors and supporters of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, we have extended our “back-of-shirt” sponsorship deal with the club by a further three years.

Manager Gus Poyet said: “I love the unique nature of this sponsorship, I think we must be the only club in the world to be sponsored by a local restaurant and on behalf of the club I would like to thank Donatello for extending their deal.  Since becoming manager of the club, I’ve received a very warm welcome throughout the city and nowhere more so than from Sue and all those at Donatello”

Managing Director Ken Brown added: “Donatello have been great supporters of the club, during our days at Gillingham, throughout our time at Withdean and our fight to for a new stadium and they will now join us on the road to Falmer.

I would like to thank Sue, Leo, Mikele and Stefano for the continued support and look forward to welcoming them to the new stadium in around 18 months time”

Donatello held a wine-tasting on March 28th to sample the distinctive and highly commended wines from the Il Borro estate in Tuscany – featured exclusively to Sussex on the Donatello menu.

The vineyard, located at the foot of the Pratomagno mountains is run by Salvatore Ferragamo, grandson of the legendary shoe designer Salvatore
Ferragamo. The first vintage of Ferragamo wine was bottled in 1999 with a small production of 6,800 bottles and as the main aim of the vineyard is to produce extraordinary wine, it continues to be released in small quantities.

Pictured with Donatello owner Sue Addis is her nephew and Eurowines' owner Leo Addis.
