Sue Addis – the lady in red! was very proud
to receive the Outstanding Brightonian Award for
2006.
Five hundred people from around one hundred
of the City's top businesses gathered at the Brighton
Hilton Metropole to hear Juice 107.2 DJ, Terry
Garoghan, announce the winners of the 2006 Brighton
and Hove Business awards - the BAHBAS.
Around £1,500 was raised for this year's
chosen charity, The Argus Appeal. Guest of honour
for the evening was the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Bob
Carden.
The BAHBAs were the brainchild of PR company,
Midnight Communications. Caraline Brown, managing
director of Midnight, commented: "Since we
launched the BAHBAs three years ago, the awards
have grown in popularity and stature and, I am
proud to say, we now have one of the most successful
business award schemes in the city.
"The BAHBAs are all about recognising the
stars of our city - those companies, organisations
and individuals that are inspirations to us all."
The judges are looking for the individual who
has done the most in the previous 12 months to
place Brighton on the national stage. The award
is presented to those who improve the quality
of life for people in the City, bring attention
to the positive aspects of living in Brighton.
The people of Brighton are invited to make their
own nominations via the web site and the judges
will also each offer three nominations of their
own. |
