Coming soon to Brighton: Children’s Parade

Supported by Yeomans Toyota Brighton & University of Brighton

The Brighton Festival kicks off with this annual opening parade, which sees around 5,000 children from scores of schools and community organisations parading through the city in an explosion of sound and colour. This year’s theme, in honour of our visual artist Guest Director David Shrigley, is ‘Paintings’. Each school has been allocated an artwork to take away and explore in detail before they reveal the results of their hard work in front of thousands of spectators.

Young people and their teachers will be hitting the streets of Brighton with art on their minds…and in their costumes, music and carnival structures. So join the arty-party to help the Festival create the first masterpiece of 2018!

Donatello is the perfect place for a lunch or dinner if you’re planning to catch any of the fabulous events during festival season!

Remember we’ve also teamed up with Brighton Festival to offer a generous 10% discount off the bill at Donatello for any ticket holder. Simply present a ticket during your visit! Visit the website for more info about discounts:

We are located right in the heart of The Lanes and have a seating capacity of over 350, making it ideal for larger groups seeking a great value meal in a relaxing setting.
