It’s A 4-Timer For Eurowines At 2016 Sommelier Wine Awards

For the fourth consecutive year Donatello wine suppliers, Eurowines, have clinched the prestigious ‘Italian Wine Merchant of the Year’ prize at the 2016 Sommelier Wine Awards.

London-based Eurowines is owned and operated by Leo Addis – the nephew of Donatello owner, Sue Addis, and we are all extremely proud of this accolade. To win the award once is impressive enough, but to dominate the category for four straight years shows just how hard the Eurowines team work to source the very best wines from every corner of Italy and her islands.

Increasing their tally of medals from last year, the 2016 Eurowines range received an astonishing 8 gold, 19 silver and 17 bronze awards. They also scooped three individual gongs: The Critic’s Choice Trophy, the By the Glass Trophy and the Food Match Trophy. This outstanding performance firmly cements Eurowines’ position as the UK’s leading importer of Italian wines, and the team were quick to thank all their customers and suppliers for their support.

With the country basking in glorious weather, there could hardly be a better time to head to Donatello or Pinocchio for a leisurely lunch or dinner with a glass of fine Italian wine. Our beautifully-appointed sun terrace is well and truly open for business for al-fresco dining and people-watching in Brighton Square.

We’re still offering a generous 10% discount to bus users who present a Brighton & Hove bus ticket, pass or keycard when ordering, and Pinocchio offers 10% discount to Theatre Royal and Brighton Dome ticket holders for pre-show dining.

Reservations are not always required, but can be made by calling Donatello on (01273) 775477 or Pinocchio on (01273) 677676 or by using our online booking forms..
