Sun, Sea And Street Art – Rone Completes Stunning Art Piece At Pinocchio

Eagle-eyed Brightonians may have already spotted the stunning new wall painting on the side of the Pinocchio building on Brighton’s New Road.  Let’s face it – you can hardly miss it!

We commissioned Australian street artist, Rone, to paint this beautiful image on our sister restaurant as part of the Brighton Fringe celebrations throughout May.

Rone is a household name in graffiti and street art circles.  Famous for his iconic wall paintings depicting beautiful women, Rone’s hometown of Melbourne is littered with examples of his compelling work.

The team at Pinocchio and the whole Donatello family in general are huge fans of Rone’s work, so when we had the opportunity to provide a ‘canvas’ for him to paint on – we didn’t need asking twice!

Needless to say, creating a painting the size of a three storey building is no easy task, but Rone has all the tools for the job.  The entire operation was wonderfully captured in a lovingly made time lapse video from Nick Sneath which you can see HERE.

If you haven’t seen Rone’s painting in the flesh yet, we urge you to head into town and take a look.  Why not pop into Pinocchio afterwards for a sumptuous Italian meal at our great value prices?  With 2-course specials starting at just £8.95pp, an extensive wine list featuring award-winning wines from every corner of Italy and famously decadent Italian desserts, a visit to Pinocchio is perfect for relaxing and unwinding with friends and family.

Reservations are not always necessary, but can be made HERE or by calling the restaurant directly on (01273) 677676.
