This Monday the 8th of December we were delighted to hold a very special event at Donatello restaurant, however, it was not for the two legged people of this world, it was for our four legged companions, which are the subject of our blog today.
Christmas always marks a sad time of year as there are literally hundreds of unwanted pets that are cast aside after the novelty has worn off. Working with the Dogs Trust, who are launching their ‘A dog is for life, not just for Christmas®’ street art campaign, award winning street artists Id-iom are creating 12 unique wall designs highlighting the most shocking handover reasons given to Dogs Trust Re-homing centres. We are very proud that our restaurant wall is home to one of these unique pieces as it is a subject very close to our hearts.
We were also very lucky to have amazing street artists Sholto and Hugo Brown to join us to create this moving piece of art, who you can see above very hard at work! As well as Tracey Rae from the Dogs Trust Re-homing Centre in Shoreham, who brought along one of her gorgeous rescue dogs.
You can find out more about the important work carried out by the Dogs Trust on their website HERE including details of their Christmas campaign.
So the next time you are in the area, pop down to have a look at this important message and feel free to say hello and try out our amazing menu!
